View of Kilimanjaro

I remember our first safari. After a short drive on tarmac we arrived at a dirt road. "How far now ?" I asked, thinking a couple of miles....
but it was 100 miles! 100 MILES OF DIRT ROAD! including corrugations. Anyway travelling in Kenya could be interesting.

On the road
Road to Turkana Turkana - 200 miles of dirt road. Getting the Kombi out Across a dried up river.
Giraffes in Nairobi Nat Park and other obstacles!

Now the travelling is over we are ON SAFARI

On safari in the Land Rover. The Landy had come overland to Kenya and it was all kitted out. Two petrol tanks. A roof tent. The seat at the back became a double bed and there was a cooker and a place for a fridge.

Colin and Jim with the Land rover.

We camped out in this quite a bit.
